Alice Thorpe is a design student, illustrator and YouTube vlogger. She has been active online for many years, since 2013, and has gathered a loyal following. Recently completing a Media Production (Design) degree at the University of Lincoln, Alice also works as a freelance illustrator & designer. In particular, Alice enjoys doing a variety of design works such as; poster designs, logo design, digital portraits and much more. Examples of which are showcased in her gallery.
Her YouTube channels are another one of her passions. She has been a finalist for the UK Blog Awards for two consecutive years. Her YouTube channel showcases; fashion, beauty, DIY, university tips and general life happenings. Alice’s honest and relatable videos have received excellent feedback and her fan base continues to grow alongside her. She has also brought out self-designed merchandise range which has been a huge hit with her followers.
Previously, Alice worked as the Assistant Manager of a photography company. Here she covered indoor studio shoots, outdoor events, wedding photography and much more. Initially hired as a part-time photographer at Xscape Castleford, Alice was quickly promoted. Her role involved; managing a team of photographers and editors, ensuring sales targets are met, setting up studio equipment and delivering a high-quality final product. Also working behind the scenes using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom to prepare campaigns and deliverables for upcoming and completed events.
University and freelance work have allowed Alice to develop both her social and intellectual skills over the years. Proficiency in a wide range of Adobe applications and familiarity with different equipment allows Alice to adapt her skill set to suit the needs of the job at hand.
